ORU R01

OBR-14 (Received timestamp)

Proposal: an optional, non-repeating timestamp value is accepted in OBR-14 for laboratory reports. The value is processed according to our standard timestamp rules for HL7 values. If present, it will be displayed alongside other test information in the web UI.

OBR-24 (Laboratory discipline)

Proposal: an optional, non-repeating ID value is accepted in OBR-24 for laboratory reports. This value will be stored and then displayed alongside other test information in the web UI. The value sent to us must be the code itself. Customers can then optionally provide a list of code/display pairs. Whenever the discipline is shown in the web UI we will check for a known display vale. If one exists, it is shown instead of the code. If not, the code is shown.

This is the same approach used for Hospital Service codes.

OBR-3/ORC-3 (Laboratory Filler Order Number)

Proposal: display this value alongside other test information in the web UI.

Note: PKB already accepts and stores this information.
